KELSEA BALLERINI PAYS TRIBUTE TO SHANIA TWAIN AT ACM HONORS
Two-time GRAMMY® Award nominated and multiple ACM and CMA Award winning multiplatinum songwriter, producer and author Kelsea Ballerini honored iconic country music legend Shania Twain with a special performance of her hit “Man, I Feel Like A Woman” at the 15th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors last night in Nashville, TN. Dancers from Shania’s Las Vegas residency performed alongside Ballerini for the hit song.
Ballerini walked the red carpet in the same white crystal-covered gown that Twain wore to the 1999 GRAMMY Awards, where the country icon took home two awards. The gown, designed by Marc Bouwer, is on loan from the GRAMMY Museum. When Ballerini reached out, Twain thought the idea was really fun and was more than happy to lend her the dress. The 15th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors will air Tuesday, Sept. 13 on FOX.
Ballerini and Twain previously teamed up for the platinum-selling collaboration “hole in the bottle” off Ballerini’s 2020 album kelsea. Most recently, Ballerini appeared in Twain’s 2022 Netflix documentary “Shania Twain: Not Just a Girl” where she discussed the impact Twain has had on women in country music.
Up next for Ballerini, her new album, SUBJECT TO CHANGE, will be released September 23rd. This release marks Ballerini’s fourth studio album and is one of the year’s most anticipated country releases. The first single off the album, “HEARTFIRST,” is currently Top 30 and climbing at Country Radio. She is also set to embark on the exclusive 10 night only HEARTFIRST TOUR in the fall. This headline jaunt launches on September 24th at Radio City Music Hall and hits the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on October 6th plus additional major markets coast-to-coast.
